Sorry but his start to the season deserves it's own thread. He's almost 34 years old so he's not a future star for the Mets but....

11 games... on base 2 or more times.... 11 times

Coming into tonight-

438/561/656

Tonight-

2-4, HR, walk, 2 runs.... one of the most incredible 12 game runs I've ever seen in all of my years watching baseball.

Remember that time that I said he had a case for inclusion on our bench over the other studs that occupy spots, and China said something like "blah blah blah Willie Harris is 8 times the ball player he is blah bah."

:D

(gotta keep harping on that to counteract all the times I've been way wrong and people have ammo on me)

I remember a few of those games. We played a series at the Skydome in Toronto and Reyes was just so incredibly hot by that point that Cohen was just laughing when Reyes would smash another line drive

But what's his signature moment?!

Scales can also play infield and outfield and he's a switch hitter.

problem is, I don't see a spot for him, unless the mets dump Turner or Cedeno, but these things have a way of working themselves out.

Scales was a semi-underrated pickup for depth and for Buffalo. Although he's old, he's one of those guys I'd have no issue plugging into the roster if one of our infielders went to the DL (not that he'd even be the likely call-up, but just making a point).
