his FB looks very nice, despite him not being able to control it where he wants...he was moving it in and out though and didn't see many good swings on it...

Another dominating outing that makes you wonder what he's still doing in AA.
It's not as if they will "trick" other teams into thinking he's something special. Send him to AAA... Chris Schwinden wasn't viewed as one of the best 10 SP options at AA/AAA last year at this time and now he's "next in line". McHugh has better stuff... why is such a "leap" impossible?
6 innings 2 hits 1 run (0 earned) 2 walks 6 k's.... which has become the norm for McHugh at AA.
Arm-Rod 2 innings 1 hit 0 runs 0 walks 2 k's (Never been a massive fan but hard to argue the results so far this year)
Lagares 2-4, run Josh Rodriguez 4-5, double.... see no reason he can't be in the discussion for a bench spot as the season wears on
MDD 2-4, 2 doubles, 1 k.... 18 K vs. 4 walks in 66 ab's

Fulmer is starting today for Savannah. Someone from Amazin' Avenue saw one of his last starts and wrote this report on him:
Quote:
Fastball: Fulmer's fastball sat in the low 90's for most of the game, touching 94 on occasion. Even towards the end of his outing, he was still consistently throwing the ball 90-91. I think Fulmer would tell you that he didn't have his best fastball with him Monday night, especially in the third inning when it seemed to briefly flatten out. This was not like most Sally League youngsters who can't command their pitchers regularly, this was more like a guy who just didn't have the command he wanted and was use to. He battled and probably threw about 20 to 25 more pitches than he wanted to, trying to gut it out with not his best stuff. I'll let the film do the talking for the type of movement Fulmer was generating. It was great to see him get into the kitchen of right handed hitters and frustrate them.
...
I really enjoyed watching Fulmer pitch. He has a good idea already on what will make him successful. He pitched to the corners and tried to change eye levels. There are 23 year olds in Double A that are being held back because they don't realize how important changing eye level if hitters is and this guy here in the Sally is already exhibiting that behavior. I think that he'll someday slot in as a mid-rotation type. He'll certainly be fun to track over the next few years as he makes his climb up the system.
Yeah, another good day for Armrod; 9IP 4H 1R 2BB 10Ks so far. He's certainly in the mix of all the Mets right handed control pitching prospects (Schwinden, McHugh, Peavey) to eventually take Batista's job.
Muno bringing them back within one with a two run homer, off a lefty no less. Of course the best news of that game is Ceciliani back in the lineup (double today).
