Congrats David.

A year ago I was jaded, thought best to trade Reyes and Wright and start over. I eventually turned on the Reyes thing and thought we had a chance to keep him, and with that, trade Wright perhaps. This offseason, after losing Reyes, I was again ready to ship Wright out.

I'm glad they didn't. I know I'm being swayed by the strong start, and this is not the most analytical thing I've ever said, but I REALLY want to lock him up to stay here for the long-haul.

Nice side-effect of the Reyes defection is that I've come to really focus on, and appreciate D-Wright.

The nonsensical (non-statistical) fan side me would lock up Wright forever if I could. Wright is definitely my favorite Met of all time, ahead of Mike Piazza.
