Someone should tell the Marlins that it's hard to win with overpriced free agent pickups. :-)

Now if we can only get rid of the Wilpons and replaced them with Mark Cuban the STO master plan can be complete!

I loved Rusty, but wonder if the Mets had held on to Singleton instead if they would have been better off.

Go Homegrowns!!! Show em what we're made of! Enough of this "Mets got a lousy farm system" nonsense.

Tejada snags a Reyes liner.

Sorry we've got the cheaper version of your star, Miami!

Side note made somewhat appropriate by the Valdespin start.

To his credit, Evan Roberts has been aware of Valdespin since at least the offseason, which puts him way ahead of the other FAN hosts when it comes to knowledge of Mets prospects.

However, he continues to call him Valdespin, with the last syllable rhyming with spin, as in spin doctor.

Today, discussing Schwinden, Evan said he was happy the Mets weren't force-feeding Matt Harvey and "Jesus" Familia.
