As long as we're going out of town scoreboard in here, Orioles are now 16-9 after taking 2/3 in the Bronx.
Rich Coutinho and the like wanna talk about the Mets shocking the world - hows about that team? Its almost certainly not going to last (probably a refrain uttered earlier this week in other town's message boards when discussing the latest Mets win), but they're building themselves a nice little early season cushion to weather whenever the first storm comes. Like I said here, when theres a talent gap in play and you're supposed to be a last place club, if you get to the top, don't look down - you start sliding a bit, no guarantee it'll ever stop.
Talk about remaking a bullpen: they added Pedro Strop last August, and Darren O'Day, Matt Lindstrom and old friend Luis Ayala for minimal costs in the offseason. They've combined to allow 4 runs in 47 innings.

What the heck is going on in ATL? I saw 6-0 Philly to 13-12 ATL, now Victornio with an infield RBI Single to tie it in the 9th.

He's better then Hefner and/or Schwinden. And Olson.
I don't mean to be snarky because I am absolutely as bad as anyone is with the "He can't possible be worse than...." stuff, but the very likely odds is that he really isn't.
I wouldn't mind trying him out, but remember, he's in AA, and plenty of "pitchability" guys over the years here have succeeded at that level and never anywhere further. No one needs more of a reminder of this than I do, as I tend to fall hard for guys who "polish" their way through the minors.
