Torres to the bench - use as a defensive replacement

Kirk to CF

Baxter / Hairston platoon in LF until Bay returns

Ike to Buffalo

Elvin Rameriz to the pen?

Murphy to 1st base with Turner on 2nd....or just move Duda to 1st base?

Seems like some changes could help...especially can't keep wheeling Ike and Torres out there everyday.

Yes.

Fire Terry Collins.

Only a met fan would want to fire a manager while a team is above .500

not exactly...the Yankees would fire managers with better records and the fans supported it...

Man, you guys are tough.

On top of having to suffer through Ike's season-long troubles, the Mets lose their starting catcher and shortstop, both of whom were hitting quite well I might add, and have had to plug in Chris Schwinden and Miguel Batista into the rotation at various times, yet have a record of 22-20 in a division where the worst team has a rotation featuring Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels.

Things could be so much worse right now and people actually want the manager fired???

There are a couple moves I would make ASAP though.

1. Ike to AAA, move The Dude to 1B
2. Release Acosta, call up Elvin Ramirez

Then you just have to hope Thole gets back quickly and continues hitting like he was.

Exactly one person said they wanted TC fired.

If Terry Collins should be fired then so should Sandy Alderson. And Terry has done a much better job than Sandy has.

Terry has no clue how to manage a baseball game. He makes 2 or 3 horrible decisions just about every game. What exactly does he bring to the table? His players don't hate him? That's not going to last the more they see how incompetent he is at managing a game.

I think the FO is too busy pondering to make changes.
