It appears that Lance Berkman suffered a torn ACL in his right knee Saturday, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch tweets. An MRI will take place today to confirm the early diagnosis. The injury could end Berkman's season and has the veteran switch-hitter considering retirement.

Minnesota Twins have designated Jason Marquis for assignment. Anyone interested ? I know hes been pretty bad, and wasn't that great last year, but he may be worth a look, and has always wanted to be a met.

If he'd take a AAA contract, then sure.

St Lucie To Flushing @PSLToFlushing @redturn2 I talked to den Dekker the other day and he says he won't try to steal your thunder and use Call Me Maybe as a walk up song
Justin Turner @redturn2 @PSLToFlushing tell him to use "you don't know your beautiful" @UpperDekker
Matt den Dekker @UpperDekker @redturn2 @psltoflushing ya I don't think that's gonna happen. Haha How you doin jt
Good to see Pornstache is using his celebrity status to ask such hard hitting questions...
I feel necessary to use this thread to update on Chris Capuano. He threw 6 innings last night in Arizona, giving up 1 run and striking out 5. Through 9 starts, he now sports a 2.25 ERA. That ERA is probably going to regress at least 1 to 1.5 runs, but hey, he's healthy and pitching very well. Where are my Cappy haterz at?

I pity a Western Mass boy stuck in LA.
