METS:
Ronny Cedeno - SS
Daniel Murphy - 2B
David Wright - 3B
Scott Hairston - LF
Lucas Duda - RF
Vinny Rottino - 1B
Andres Torres - CF
Rob Johnson - C
Jeremy Hefner - P

Ronny Cedeno is leading off; Ike Davis in platoon w/Rottino

Just figured these things needed to be brought to everyone's attention.

Maybe a sticky that we can all one day look back on and laugh at (hopefully) one day?

Meh, I thought those facts were independent of the game itself.

Pretty dang momentous stuff right there.

Oh well.

Lennon says TC told Davis he's not being sent down, he'll work out his issues here.

Look at the hitters hitting after him. Exactly which one should hit ahead of Hairston vs a lefty?

It seems like TC's lineup construction has improved. I like this one tonight.

By sitting on the bench for Vinny Rottino.

I guess Kirk's going down when Bay comes up then?

TC notes that Ike will be allowed to work out his issues here, but will be used "based on matchups" for now.

So we're gonna break him out by giving him irregular playing time for Vinny Rottino (for now) and once Rottino is dropped back down this weekend, presumably, noted lefty masher Justin Turner (.222/.314/.275 for his career).

And the roster move when Bay comes back appears to be down to Kirk or Baxter, with smart money on Kirk.

This sounds like an awful idea all around.

No one. That's what's so laughable. :P

I think Ike has until Bay comes up to turn it around or he'll be the one sent down.
