I certainly hope so and he better have of paid for their dinner and drinks to celebrate with too!

That's 'Tradition' for a ML rehabbing in the minors. Like a 'rook' carrying the PINK Backpack.

Was the Wright team the last St. Lucie club even close to this good?

Wright was on the 2003 team that won 77 games and were league champions

St. Lucie also won 77 games in 2006 and were also league champions ... that team had Humber, Pelfrey along with Flores and Carp. Fmart also played a little but wasn't that effective.

This current team so far is performing well above those teams at this point ... But I don't think they have as much talent as the other teams..

Wilmer doesn't have the overall skill set of DW ... He has to continue to hit like a beast to make up for his speed and defensive deficiencies

Pitching wise, at this point, I don't think it's as strong, talent~wise, as he 2006 or 2003 teams.. But that can change if and when montero, tapia, leather, fullmer, get promoted.

He may be a large part of the second half team as well....

The St. Lucie Mets celebrate the Florida State League's South Division first-half title after clinching Saturday at Digital Domain Park. The club owns a 43-12 record. It's the second consecutive first-half title for St. Lucie, which reached the FSL championship series last season.
