DPLennon Welcome back RT @Mets: The #Mets have claimed RHP Chris Schwinden off waivers from the Yankees and optioned him to Buffalo (AAA).

I posted this in the minor league thread...........unreal.

If he stays at buffalo and never comes to NY then i'm fine with it, but i don't want him near the big club ever again.

Why clog up the 40 man, especially with the pen again short and no real viable 40man options to be the 7th man?

The roster management here continued to baffle me. Clog up the 40man with guys who can't help your big club, carry 4 backup infielders, 1 lefty reliever, multiple long men, etc.

Good, that Bison's rotation seriously needs some help.

That's absolutely hilarious.

Also, he must be racking up some sweet frequent flyer miles...or frequent Greyhound miles...

I'd be annoyed even if he didn't.

A complete waste of the next 4 or 5 days until you need a roster spot again.

Hey if he's that useless, maybe teams will let him clear waivers next time and we can keep him in AAA.

Anyone ask the Bingo rotation how they feel about this development?

This has be some kind of record...4 teams in around 5 weeks.

June 2nd was on a Saturday, so that wasn't a full week, & we're at
Thursday now, so that's not a full week, either, though close.

So really, he's been away 4 full weeks & a matter of days.

Wow.
