I see a lot of people here have keeper league questions. My friends aren't dedicated enough to do a keeper league so I was wondering if anyone needed a new person in their's. It seems challenging but I can't find enough people who are interested in doing one with me.
Upon seeing therick07's post, a light bulb lit up. Let's do an NYFS Keeper League. We can discuss and come to an agreement over the settings and all that jazz. I can commish and keep track of the players. So, any other takers?

I'm all about keeper leagues. I'm currently in 3 fantasy baseball leagues 2 of which are keeper leagues, including the ultimate league: a 16 team dynasty league in which you keep your entire 60 man roster from year to year.
What site/sites do you play FBB on?

All of my leagure are through Sandbox.com. It's a pay site but the community consists of over 1 million customers. There are always leagues looking for owners in a variety of different league formats. They have a forum where you can search for leagues to join or recruit owners for your league. If you joined, you wouldn't have a problem finding a worthy keeper league to join.
The 60 man roster consists of 30 MLB players and 30 Minor leaguers. We have a FYP draft every year in June a week after the June amatuer draft. This will be my first full season in the league and so far it is everything I thought it would be. Great league for a true baseball lover and weenie.

My keeper league is falling apart (partly because a few of us have teams that have ruined the competitive balance), so I'm game. It's frustrating trying to do a keeper because people either lose interest, or due to jobs/family, they don't have the time to devote and their team falls apart.
Doesn't matter to me what site is used, but Yahoo has been solid. ESPN just has too many problems with their Java draft applet.
I think that there should be a limit on how long you can keep a player, say like 3 years or something. While a well-run keeper league is competitively balanced, I think it can start losing its fun if one guy has Pujols for the next 10 years.
Who else wants in? We're at 4, bc I think I have a friend who's interested. 5-6 more please!
Depends on who. I've done 2 drafts so far this year and guys like Pelfrey, Alex Gordon, Delmon Young, Homer Bailey, and Alex Gordon are available to be drafted. I think they've expanded the player pool.
the rick is right, yahoo's lack of minor leaguers that won't be in the majors this year is annoying (e.g. Gomez isn't in the game), but we've worked around it in the past by using the bulletin board to post the player we want, and just keeping an empty roster spot. People are pretty good about remembering who not to take, and if someone tries to take a taken player, the team that owns him can just ref back to the original post.
Not sure how it would affect the yahoo draft stuff, but maybe we could do the draft another way?
