Wasn't there a line in the movie, "Major League", about free admission to a game for anyone actually alive the last time the Indians won a championship?
MLB Network had a special on the Cubs and how their fans have an identity psychologically that's associated with not winning championships - almost like they would not know what to do with themselves if they won, since generations have gone by since they won. I thought that was interesting. Cleveland's drought was more interesting when the whole city hadn't won any championships, but 67 years is still a long time without one.

To me, it doesn't seem like Cubs fans even care about winning. Red Sox fans agonized during the Curse. Cubs fans have seemed pretty blase. It just doesn't seem the same to me.
