I find this talk about Kelenic comical. He's a 19 year old kid who hit .253 at Kingsport and struck out once a game and people are talking like he's the second coming. Get real people. When you have a chance to get the best reliever in the game who's only 24 and give up Kelenic in the deal, you MAKE that deal. Stop with the nonsense.

Just throwing it out there, but he only had 1 year in Division 1. As a sophmore in CC he hit 5 homers, stole 23 bases. Might have been an adjustment hurting his numbers.
He's got some size, got some muscles in his forarms
I think he might be a legit 15th round pick and possibly a late bloomer in college. 0 homers is low, 43Ks is a little high, but he hit .335 Worth a look.

"It was a special moment," Snypes said. "Me, my dad, my mom and my brother's fiance were sitting at the house. I was expecting a phone call on day three but the wait's probably the biggest - I hated the most but it was a special moment. I was excited."
"I always talked about [playing in the MLB] growing up," Snypes said. "Me and my friends were dreaming about it. It's a special moment, like I said. You can't really explain it."
"He had the tools but he had to work to get to where he's at," said Gavin [HS Coach], who's now an assistant baseball coach at West Jones. "You heard about the guys to be the last one's off the field? [That was Snypes] every day. I couldn't throw him enough [batting practice] or hit him enough ground balls. He loved it and he just ate it up."

Mets gave him $125K per MLB draft tracker.
Man I hope this an error. Snypes just screams 10K signing to me.
I dont, good for the kid, ain't my money and not effecting the pool. That said, he must be one hell of a fluid athlete that they think can offer plus defense at a premium position. His average is good, but not great, for a small school player, and it's helped by a high BABIP. He also strikes out a ton for a guy with that kind of a power deficit. Also wasn't able to earn free passes, so if he does have baserunning skills, doesn't look like they wI'll be on display.
