Yes. Pretty sure this is just an aggressive guy he picked out of his comments section.
Inner monologue: How do I get him to go away?
"Hey, you wanna write for me?"

Honestly, this is a wasted pick. His Cape Cod numbers are pretty bad too and he has virtually no power.
.308/.432/.514/.946 slash line this season with 9 HR and 14 2B in 58 games.
.308 in college isn't very good. I don't have faith that him or Brodey even sniff the majors.
Gene Cone's junior year at S. Carolina: .363/.474/.498/.972 Blake Tiberi's junior year at Louisville: .340/.387/.553/.940 Peter Alonso's junior year at Florida: .374/.469/.659/1.128 L.J. Mazzilli's senior year at UConn: .354/.408/ .515/.923 Matt Oberste's senior year at Oklahoma: .373/.458/.622/1.080
And these guys are lonnnng shots to make the majors. Maybe Alonso has a shot down the road. He had a solid year at Brooklyn last summer, but is currently on the interstate at St. Lucie. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt due to some pesky injuries.
I'd love to eat a big plate of crow on this, but neither Stanford OF the Mets drafted looks like anything to get excited about.

Aaron Fitt Retweeted Frankie Piliere Heard @JonathanMayo mention Stephen Piscotty when talking about Winaker. I think there are some similarities there. Just a pretty swing.Aaron Fitt added, Frankie PiliereVerified account @FPiliereD1 #Mets take Matt Winaker from @StanfordBSB - really intriguing lefty swing. Should hit for more power as a pro 0 replies 3 retweets 5 likes

Like Piscotty, I think the key here is making the swing less Stanford-y.
Well, he's already a very disciplined hitter, so that is a good starting point. Again, if he can play one of the OF corners, then it has the potential to be a very solid pick esp for the 5th rd.

Probably an unsurprising comment...
“I have wanted to play professional baseball for as long as I can remember, and I’m excited to attack this next phase of my life,” said Winaker, who the Mets selected in the fifth round.
