Rookie maximums for at-bats (130), games pitched (30) or innings (50) in the major leagues"
If the 2 leaders are within 5% of each other, or the leader has less than 35% there will be a run-off between the top 2. *Rosario ineligible *Dom ineligible
P.S. don't stress too much if you feel player X deserves to be on this list vs. player Y. It's extremely unlikely someone not yet nominated would be win any given poll. Nominate those you see fit.
1) Andres Gimenez (SS) 12/27 votes-44%

Serious question... the guy who voted for Flexen last poll. Did you really feel Flexen was #1? Because either our system is even worse than I think or I’m missing something when I watch Flexen...

I wonder if any get honorable mention. Maybe I should ask this question in chat. "How hard did you guys laugh while discussing the Mets prospects?"
Who's our best prospect in Brooklyn? Rasquin? Medina (hitter not pitcher), The injured Matt Winaker? Worse than Binghamton in terms of prospects. There's just nothing there.

I was wondering the same for Guillorme, but at least an argument could be made that he's a 2.5-3 war player if he hits a little and fields great. I don't get Flexen at all. Maybe we're being trolled.

Excluding Peterson who basically didn't pitch... Villines, Viall (quietly finished pretty well), Winaker, Dibrell, Brodey, Rasquin, your "cream of the crop". Some people are VERY high on Villines. One told me he'd have him as our #1 RP prospect.

I might be voting for Guillorme soon, but I think there's still a chance he hits a lot.
I just don't see his physical tools giving him a low ceiling there. And with his strong plate discipline and contact ability, he's going to continue to get opportunities. He's just not a Torvar or Tejada type who seems physically incabable of turning into a Dustin Pedroia or Justin Turner.

If Flexen is our best prospect then we have no prospects.

But I'm the one who has no future in scouting...? What have you seen there to think it's not a low ceiling projection? It's bad body, bad swing, all groundballs approach. It's really a total throwback profile. It's one plus tool, but the one that says UT player.
If you're building a forecast out of the notion that he can transform his swing, well, we can dream on any prospect then. At this stage, I don't see where the physical projection could possibly meet any expectations that a transformed swing/approach would yield results to get excited by. Hope I'll be wrong.
