I'm guessing that at his age Terry isn't in such high demand around baseball. I'm sure he's getting a nice check from the Mets to not do too much

A 'big' paycheck? For being loosely involved in player development? I'm sure Terry could get the same job at a similar salary anywhere else.

I appreciate the fact that in an organization that repeatedly embarasses themselves over and over, Terry's one of the few that never embarassed himself and was always a good ambassador for the franchise. Even yesterday Terry took the high road publicly when he really had no reason to, other than the vague promise of a player development job that he'd have every right to turn down and tell the Wilpons and Sandy to go scratch after the events of the last week.

Except when they hung him out to dry by not keeping him in the loop on certain personnel issues like injuries. So many times when the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. For the FO or exec suite to try to offload that communication problem on the manager is weak.

It is highly probable that his new role is really just a title with no responsibilities to keep him on the payroll and not doing a speaking tour crushing the org. after all that last week nonsense.

I have very little confidence this whole FO role was in the plans this time last week.

Come on, you know this. It was Terry, who played our usual CFer in CF, who made an error that lead to a run that the Mets then came back from and took the lead anyway.

Obviously.

How could you not mention Duda's inability to throw home either!? I am outraged.

I blame Kansas City for us losing the world series. It's much more fun to blame the other team than your own.

I've always loved a good underdog story. Go Mets (2018). I know an underdog when I see one.
