I could give it a B+ if i grade on a curve, using the rationale that at the point it seemed they only had 10 million left in the budget they went on to add Bruce, Frazier, Vargas and Reyes. On the other hand I could give them a D for spending a lot of money on band aids that do nothing to help the long term outlook for the franchise. But I'll go with C+. No long term help, but no real long term damage. And at least they added enough that if by some miracle the starters stay healthy they can compete for the wild card.
B+ They addressed their needs as they saw them. They spent money. I'll reserve the right to change my grade after the season
I would have liked to have picked up ABAD on the minor league contract he accepted I would have preferred Reed to Vargas and then sign I do like that they kept the draft pick

Other than setting back Dom and losing Bradford, at least they did not harm.
I think setting back Dom was fine. Outside of showing some pop, he was flat out awful last year, glove and bat and someone said he seemed nervous out there. I'm not saying Gonzalez is the guy, but I think making Dom earn the job is smart.

B+ Smart short team deals. The big money/lengthy contracts almost always seem to turn into Albatross deals. AGone might me ADone but it should teach Dom a valuable lesson.

I alternated between C/C+.
They didn't really make any big moves... seem like they mostly added "ok" players....and I don't think overall they are necessarily better than the team that started last season. But they did at least fill some spots on the team with major league quality players
I actually am intrigued by the Gonzalez signing. He may end up being totally done and terrible, but he was a very good hitter for a long time. Maybe he can be the rare "bargain basement" moves that work

Offering so many negative selections and so few positive selections is really bad polling methodology. I gave the Mets a B, but I give this poll a C-.
