College seniors stay on the teams negotiation list till the next years draft...
This wasn’t a scenario of not coming to an agreeement due to negotiation. This was a scenario of a drafted player not being offered a contract by the Mets (or having it revoked). Considering the Mets previously announced him as signed... I’m going with the “revoked” possibility.
Not offering a contract to a drafted player moves him to Free Agency at the deadline...

This dude was listed on the Cyclones roster at one point.
