That’s really absurd for Diaz in particular, coming off the train wreck of a year he just had. It’s so hard to judge what’s going to happen when they return to the old baseballs. He could actually be effective again. It’s impossible to know. There’s even some speculation that different balls may have been used late in games going by how ineffective most bullpens were this year. Manfred screwed the game up so badly.
