It's still a hard sell for me since Rhys-Myers doesn't look a thing like King Henry VIII.
Ahh, but as the intro states, "you think you know a story, but you only know how it ends."
I've actually been reading up a lot on him since this show started and apparently he was quite an athlete. The images that we see of him later on in life don't do his early life any justice.

I started watching this on TV Links per your recommendation, and I've got to say, if Rome was fairly historically inaccurate, then The Tudors is wildly historically inaccurate.
And yet, I can't stop watching,

I wouldn't so much say that its inaccurate. They just seem to just gloss over stuff or leave it out all together. There is subtle difference.
