Anyone remember that infamous Laker-King series when Kobe elbowed Bibby and the foul was called on Bibby as he walked to the bench all bloodied???
If this is true it's dispicable!!!

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:
"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."
But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?
Like you guys mentioned, not shocking at all since it's what people have been accusing them (Stern) of for years. It's just a weird feeling as a massive NBA fan for over 15 years to practically hear it from the cow's mouth

personally I am not surprised I don't know if it as blatant as alleged but the playoff refereeing been "fishy" for years ...Especially when you have sports columnists who can predict what refs will be assigned to what game.
I think this has been going on since the days of Jordan. As great as he was, he certainly got all the calls with the ball and rarely had any go against him on defense (only fouled out 10 times in his career, none after 92?????)
I think the last "honest" playoff years were the late 80's Pistons vs Celts wars
Whether any of this is true or not, the perception is out there that something has been wrong for a long time and the NBA has to do something about it.

That was one of the most poorly officiated series I have ever seen. That Kings team was better than the Lakers. In Game 6 in LA, the Lakers took 27 (yes, that's no typo) free throws in the 4th quarter. Lots of phantom calls and touch fouls. I was steamed after the Lakers won that series (this Finals is lesser of two evils!).

Did we really need someone to tell us that Kings-Lakers Game 6 was sketchy?
It is convienent of him to have picked that game.
That is what I mean. Every NBA fan that watched that game could have said that the officials favored the Lakers, we don't know why, if they were told to, etc. But I'm going to take what he said and remember who it is coming from. He picked two situations that were very obvious, I don't know if it's a coincidence or not.
