How about a sports talk radio forum? I think it would be nice to have IGT's for radio shows (mainly Mike and the Maddog) so that we don't have to have threads in the Mets section saying "Mike Francesa said this", or "Russo Thinks", etc.

I also think it would be pretty popular...

I think it would be great. Keep it all in one place so I would never, ever be tempted to read it.

I'm not a fan. Some enterprising young fella could move it over to general baseball or other sports or something or GOT, but I don't think there would be any mods interested in surfing it, so thats a big obstacle.

You could always just let it be the "deathmatch free for all" forum ;)

No?

I don't see why that shouldn't be in the Mets section... :?:

lol...back in the day, we considered actually having a forum called 'death match' where anytime there was a 'beat the dead horse' issue, we'd have polls to 'elect' a user to represent the opposing sides of view, and then let like Genmet and acerimusdux fight it out unfettered, so every time the argument resurfaced, we could lock it and 'refer you to the existing death match on this topic' where two elected, knowledgable, well spoken posters had flushed out both sides of the argument to it's completetion..

Never got off the drawing board, though.

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

But that's the reason it's so entertaining cause it can be so assinine. But that's the point of the threads on off topic and some guys try to predict what each would talk about on their show, it's really funny actually. a lot of us listen while at work or traveling so it's great to post/read threads about what we heard during the day or missed.
