Love them! One of my favorite bands. I'm not listening to any of the new tracks until the album comes out though.

i used to love them until i saw them at the roseland. i've seen thousands of shows in my life and they were a mess. the singer messed up and was xompletely off key and the drummer was off on the keyboard tracks so the band sounded off time. i understand they have had drug issues in the past so maybe thats what it was, but it killed my taste for them.
it was the around the fur tour. quicksand blew them off the stage.

Let's please stay off the "seeing Quicksand" theme. Some of us never got that opportunity and are completely jealous. Bringing up the topic stings. You lucky bastards.

As for Deftones, they used to be a favorite but that was a long time ago. I will occassionally have some nostalgic impulse to throw Adrenaline on but never make it through the album. Not that I dislike it, just that the interest isn't there like it used to. No knock on them by any means, back in the 90's they were one of my favorites.

I know what you're saying about Adrenaline. I was consumed by that album for months. And then the feeling just went away. Occasionally I try to get it back but it never works. Almost nothing they've done since has moved me.

Also, I'm pretty sure I saw Quicksand at least three times. I know I saw them at the Academy with CIV and Texas is the Reason and then again at Irving Plaza with Orange 9MM. Also at the first Warped Tour. Sublime played too and they were literally the worst live band I have ever seen.

Big fan of Deftones.

On the topic of The Deftones, I just was at their myspace page and noticed they did a cover of my favorite Helmet song, "Sinatra." I didn't like it at first but by the end it wasn't too bad. Kinda cool hearing that song covered.
