Quote:
Four Golden Panthers were named to the All-Sun Belt first team—the most of any school. Mike Martinez and Ryan Mollica were chosen as the league’s top first baseman and second baseman, respectively. Teammate Tyler Townsend received first-team accolades at the outfield position while Tim Jobe was recognized for his work as a designated hitter. Tom Ebert rounded out the All-Conference selections for FIU as a starting pitcher for the second team.

Quotes about mollica from this article

"Mollica was hitting well over .300 already 38 games into the season when he contracted mononucleosis, which made him miss 15 games. He didn't let him keep him too down or out of character."

"The second baseman Mollica had to walk-on at Central Florida Community College, then transfer to FIU in his sophomore year.

"I've been playing with a chip on my shoulder since high school," Mollica said. "I always look back at that, not really getting many breaks or chances.""

More Info

"Last summer, Mollica competed briefly in the Cape Cod League before reporting to Edenton as a key bat in the latter half of the schedule. His productivity, .363-.393-.442 and 23 RBIs in 29 starts and 113 at bats, was matched by his versatility as he saw time at second and third base, left field, and hit anywhere from 2nd to 5th in the order for the teal and black."

Seems like a relatively good senior sign, all things considered.

Decent numbers. I wonder why he was drafted so low in the draft.

College Senior! Not Josh Satin! May have gotten Josh type money ($25K).

I'd be surprised if he got 5 grand.

Probably more like 2.

I'd be shocked if he got more than $2000.
