There has never been another pitcher in baseball who could do exactly what he does. Ever.
Actually, I should amend that. I can only speak with certainty about the last 45 years, or so.
But when I was a kid guys like Hoyt Wilhelm, Wilbur Wood and the Niekro brothers were very good pitchers who relied on knuckleballs, but they couldn't control their pitches the way Dickey does.

Going into any season, fans hope that their favorite teams would give them moments to remember whether they turn out champions, contenders or mere pretenders
While there's much Baseball to go, this 2012 Mets team is easy to root for and has already given this fan in the midwest some pretty memorable moments
