Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:
"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."
But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

I do think its true that the Mets haven't set an exact figure at this point (and nobody really has reported as such) but I love this Coutunho-ism

@danXtanna I'd rather be right and second on that # than first and wrong...My sources tell me no # has been etched in stone as of yet
The fact that Sandy barely (if at all) mentioned FA yesterday told me all I need to know about the projected spending. Trust me, a franchise with poor attendance would be talking up "being aggressive in FA" if there was much money there.

Oh I know. I just mean he might be right from the "no exact number etched in stone" technicality. But yeah they probably have a general idea....and I agree the talk of trades probably means they aren't going to dip big time into the FA pool.

Rich Coutinho @coutinho9 2m People ask why I'm such a positive person: Simply put, what fun is negativity? Sure life can be tough but the alternative is a lot worse
Given the fact that he's posed this question to himself and given a slightly varied version of the same answer on a weekly basis since about February, is there anyone REALLY still asking Rich, "Hey Rich, y u so positive dude!?"

Rich Coutinho @coutinho9 1m I know Met fans feel disappointed about the season but this team is pointed in right direction. Rotation, Ike, Tejada are huge positives
Right Direction! Huge Positives! 2012 was a success guys!!
