Hoping Conlon and Kay have solid starts today.

Binghamton hit a bunch, up 10-7. After the bad first, Crismatt's next 4 innings were OK. Update - they win it 10-7.

Alonso continues to struggle, 1 for 5 with 2 Ks.
Urena in a mini hot stretch with 3 hits, 11 for his last 27 (8 Ks in that span though).
Maz with homer #6. Talk about his bat not being there this season seem grossly premature.
His last 4 games he's 7 for 15 with 3 homers, 2 walks and 0 Ks.

Tebow hit by pitch twice. 6 HBPs in the game so far.

I understand Kay but PJ Conlon is not a major league pitcher. He's a guy you use when you have no one else. The more success he has in the minors the more the Mets will give him a chance. And the more chances he gets the more our playoff odds go down. The Mets need to stay away from arms like Conlon.

Conlon actually is a major league pitcher.

Look it up.

Lol! and if that's not an indication on how bad the Mets system is nothing is.

No, it's an accomplishment for PJ Conlon. Something he can tell his grandchildren.

Something a lot of guys who make lists won't be able to ever do.

Especially kids who weren't well regarded. I personally think he'll have a ML career of sorts...like Sewald and I think Oswalt.

Love guys who are better than their stuff.

The problem is you need stuff to survive. There are times you have to throw strikes and Conlon is definatley not a pitcher you want in that situation. And PJ sort of exemplifies a big problem the Mets are having in their system right now. Aside from the guys they traded for at the deadline last year, there is a real lack of velocity in the system.

Best I've seen of Ryder Ryan this year for @stluciemets . Wow. Electric. Mostly sat 95-96 MPH and a wicked 88 off speed for a K in the inning. Did give up a single but....wow.@Mets_Minors

Nice to hear that about Ryan. He was a bit of an unknown when we traded for him. Some upside but mostly an unknown.

What happened to Kay? So much for his strong start.

Kacz actually started in LF for StLucie and had a hit and knocked a run in.
