Nimmo LF
Lagares CF
Cabrera 2B
Flores 1B
Bruce RF
Mesoraco C
Reyes 3B
Syndergaard RHP
Rosario SS

Yikes, Ces out of the lineup after an off day and facing a LHer. That cannot be good. But Nimmo gets another start. Scooter also sitting vs LHer.

Bruce back in action. Guillorme must have been optioned.

Rhame is up. And Baumann is back. So Blevins daddy leave must've started. So this means there must be another player move (not Yo per Ehalt). I guess Oswalt down..?

Guess you don't want Oswalt wasting away up here. Get him in the rotation in Vegas in case you need him for Vargas soon.

So, I mixed up Guillorme and Smith. Guillorme still up (for Frazier). Smith optioned down for Bruce's return. Rhame up for Oswalt. And Baumann for Blevins.

Problem is, they just burned Oswalt for 10 days...and Baumann will have to return to Vegas when Blevins is back...

Roster management is easily the most confounding thing about SandyCo. It is not instant...there is time to think about moves for gosh sakes.

I have several thoughts about the Mets recalling Luis Guillorme, but you'll never get to hear them.

Oswalt can be brought up for an injury, but he'll likely start for Vegas soon - making him unavailable for a few days anyway. And if you're thinking about bringing him up for Vargas, his start is at least four days away, anyway.

Does Baumann HAVE to return to Vegas when Blevins returns? Even if he does, they seem to be fine carrying one lefty so far (not that I necessarily agree). And (despite Sunday) Sewald has been very good against lefties this year.

I have several more thoughts about how Phil Evans not only stunk in 2012 and 2013, but also 2014, 2015 and 2017, and how combining his 2016 and 2017 numbers into one "blend" looks a lot like something I would do with Matt Reynolds' 2014 and 2015 to make the claim that he had arrived as of 2016.

But you'll also never get to hear those.

Apparently they are mulling a DL stint for Ces. Supposedly not available tonite.

Well, who could've seen this coming...?

Man. No Frazier or Ces for 10 days would hurt. Guess we'd what a Nimmo/Lagares platoon would look like.

Welll....

He started 0/14 which is when all those stories about the new changeup came out.

He's since 12/32 against them. So, we'll see if its real. Last year he certainly looked like a ROOGy in training.

I'm always very skeptical of these RHRP who in small samples "look" like LOOGys. We heard this about Robles as well.

David Wright will see a doctor for a follow-up examination at the end of May. He's hoping he will be cleared for baseball activities at that time, but the real test won't come until he starts throwing and swinging in earnest.

Gawd, I hope so. This team needs a spiritual, if not actual lift.
