Here's my first take on the top 40 or so free agents:

3B
Machado (26): Cards 10/340M
Donaldson (33): Twins 3/48M
Moustakos (30): Angels 3/42M
Escobar (30): ChiSox 3/33M

OF
Brantley (32): Tribe 3/33M (re-sign)
Harper (26): ChiSox 10/300M
Pollock (31): Phils 4/52M
Cutch (32): A's 2/18M
Markakis (35): Braves 2/26M (re-sign)

I'll wait for the 'Broken Down Former All Stars Making League Minimum 18/19' thread.

If the Mets let those 2 catchers sign for that I'd be livid
3 years 27 for Marwin would also be a price I'd be pissed we passed on
Ottavino the perfect Met closer signing, 33, one great season, walks a ton, gets paid and quickly declines while here

The one that would hurt is if Corbin gets away at that price. He's an upstate NY guy (and lefty) who appears like a good deal at 4/68M but maybe I've under-priced him. He does a good job keeping the ball on the ground but I wonder what has changed dramatically from what he's done in the past... having a career year that I wonder if he can duplicate. But unlike Matz, Corbin has been pretty durable (aside from TJ recovery a few yrs ago).

Signing DJ when he's a downgrade to what we currently have would be a horrible disaster.

McNeil will slide over to 3B. Frazier will get dealt away.

I actually like Frazier as a bench piece to play some against the tougher lefties. Can play 1B a little, too. Flores might be the easier piece to deal though he can fake it at short.

McNeil/DJ is still a downgrade from Frazier/McNeil.

And with Giminez on the cusp giving LeMahieu a contract that guarantees he starts would be quite wasteful.

Why move McNeil out of his normal position? It seems the first thing this team wants to do.
