I know this is after the game. But I think David’s last game should have it’s own thread. Perhaps we can post what our favorite moments were for the 1-0, 13 inning game for David’s last game ever, or a favorite memory.

My favorites were the fact that the first pitch was by his 2 year old daughter to him.

I also loved that when they took the field, they let David run out onto the field by himself.

I wish I could have posted this before the game, but life did not allow it. But I am so impressed by David and so lucky that during my adult time as a fan that he could be the playgoer I cheered for most.

Thank you David! The General. Captain America. The Captain. The Met.

This was the first game I watched in a while. Thankfully it was on at a convenient enough time so that I could watch it live from Korea. I was really happy with how everything went, except for maybe Wright not getting a hit, haha. I hope we see more of him around the team in some capacity in the future.

It was great, but it seemed a bit anticlimactic to me...though I am sure his back wouldn't allow him to do much. Did he field any balls?

The hit would have made it perfect but however it ended, he might be the best embodiment of baseball goodness the Mets have ever had.

Time to develop more Wrights.

O'Brien should've dropped that foul pop-up!

It almost looked like he was going to intentionally bump the wall to drop it.

We let him have it for the rest of the game.
