Rookie maximums for at-bats (130), games pitched (30) or innings (50) in the major leagues"

If the 2 leaders are within 5% of each other, or the leader has less than 35% there will be a run-off between the top 2. If a run-off results in a tie the tiebreaker will be vote total in the previous poll, we will continue to "go back" in the polls until there is a clear leader.

*Jeff McNeil is ineligible
*Chris Flexen is ineligible

1) Andres Gimenez (SS) AA 19/37 votes- 51%
2) Peter Alonso (1B) AAA 24/36 votes- 67%
3) Jarred Kelenic (CF) Kingsport 31/36-86%
4) Ronny Mauricio (SS) Kingsport 12/33-36%
5) Justin Dunn (RHP) 10/37-27%, Run-off with Mark Vientos 17/30-57%
6) Mark Vientos (3b) 16/31-52%

This one should be over pretty quickly.

Honestly, I don’t even see why Cheech is nominated right now.

Cheech is 1 year out from being #14 on this list.

Prior to him being injured, he was putting up decent AAA #s... His prospect window is not over. He is still only 24 and is likely to remain on the 40 man.

In my mind he is still a top 20 prospect.

Its been DP for me since round 4

He should finally lock it up here

Next up for me will be Kilome

Upper 90's fastball and flashes a plus curve - big mound presence at 6 foot 6

Closer potential

Cheech put up strong numbers at AA and AAA for a middle infielder - he is definitely in the top 20 conversation

I think i would have him at 19

He would be behind all the guys currently nominated + adhern and toffey

And i'm not sure how i want to rank some of the newly signed international kids - Alvarez and Valdez

The next 4 to add to the list would be Alvarez, Cortes, Dibrell and Lindz I guess (after Toffey). That looks reasonable for the top 21.

Does anyone have any concerns that a pitcher that relies on a sinker might have trouble throwing it in the majors because the baseball is different?

Me too. Kilome and Szapucki are neck and neck for me.

I'm gonna go Szapucki over Kilome, personally. Similar reps but think there's' more bullpen risk with Kilome and more upside with Szapucki considering the arm slot and left-handedness, although there's obviously health risk with Szapucki.

Think I'll go Newton after Szapucki. If there's a prospect that just screams upside in the system, it's Newton.
