Rookie maximums for at-bats (130), games pitched (30) or innings (50) in the major leagues"

If the 2 leaders are within 5% of each other, or the leader has less than 35% there will be a run-off between the top 2. If a run-off results in a tie the tiebreaker will be vote total in the previous poll, we will continue to "go back" in the polls until there is a clear leader.

This seems like a nice spot for Nido

I voted for... Thompson here. Clear drop-off for me after Santos. I like Thompson as a potential regular 3B more than Toffey, so I figured this was a decent spot for him.

Will be voting for Guillorme when he's on the list.

I'm surprised at how little support AHern is getting, though. Figured he'd be next.

Went with Nido here.

Carpio is my next guy though. Still very young, and supposedly is finally healed from the shoulder injury. I've heard his arm looks good again and suddenly he popped 12 homers out of nowhere...he was pretty highly touted too iirc. In any case, just need the hit tool to improve (he has solid BB/K rate) ...would love if him and Giminez are the DP combo in AA to start.

Problem I have with Carpio in this range is that even when he was a highly-touted prospect in rookie ball he was never supposed to be a guy who was sure to stick at SS... And the profile needs to be a viable SS. Power tool seems to be better than expected but the hit tool seems to be worse than expected. There's a huge variable of potential outcomes for Carpio and some of them end up with him as a major leaguer but I'm not sure the range is in a good enough spot to justify him over some of the guys on this list. Like putting Carpio over Guillorme would be absolutely ridiculously, crazily insane.

Nido running away with it!! If there isn't some movement I'm making an executive decision and calling this at 10 am.

I think the case for Carpio is that he at least showed some bat for stretches and that he more or less held his own in the FSL at just 21. So the jury is really still out on whether it's anything more than a UT profile. But I guess that possibility exists if he takes another step fwd with the stick this year.

With Guillorme, is there really any question about him topping out as a UT? And the weird way that Mickey used him this year doesn't really impact that view.

Yeah I don't see it with LG...I'm betting on the power surge for LC here mostly and hoping the hit tool somewhat improves. Not like he's a K machine so I have some hope and wishing for the hit to improve because he does seem to have bat to ball skills
