Rookie maximums for at-bats (130), games pitched (30) or innings (50) in the major leagues"

If the 2 leaders are within 5% of each other, or the leader has less than 35% there will be a run-off between the top 2. If a run-off results in a tie the tiebreaker will be vote total in the previous poll, we will continue to "go back" in the polls until there is a clear leader.

On deck is Jaylen Palmer, I'm nominating Villines next. Another guy I think worth considerins is JMM. His numbers don't pop off the page but if Adolph is #20, and JMM was ranked ahead of him in the NYPENN list I have to believe JMM certainly belongs in the 21-33 range (which is what we are discussing here), also in terms of discussion I think Manea, Beracierta, Cavallaro (not a huge fan with the extremely light FB but we are talking about a top 50 list not top 10), Vilera, Viall, Hanhold, Ryan, Paez, Gilliam, Mitchell might be a sleeper as a LOOGY

Carlos Cortes is the choice here, though I have a feeling I'm going to be voting for him for a while.

Guillorme somewhat surprisingly in the lead here. If this year didn't provide some confirmation that we overrated him a year ago, well it should have. Still, I guess mid 20s is enough correction I suppose... but yeah, I couldn't justify ranking him ahead of Cortes or Crismatt.

He should be ranked as the "a" or "b" to whatever Nido's ranking is, because they're the same caliber prospect.

May carve a career for playing tough defensive positions at a high level, but lack value with the bat and its debatable how truly rare/valuable the no-bat-whatsoever skillset is.

Guillorme probably is the "a" as you often carry multiple backup infielders which opens up the door for him to be rostered more than Nido who is competing for 1 specific bench spot forever and ever. But I could see the argument for the catcher spot being the more rare commodity, even if I don't necessarily agree.

I often place a large emphasis on floor at this point in lists given you're often comparing guys who have at least "made it" to guys who may never even get there (and if so, questions abound on if they even have the ceiling over these guys), but Nido/Guillorme ceilings appear to be so low that I can't even get excited.

It'll be fitting if Nido and Guillorme win back to back.

Crismatt vs. Guillorme would be the battle of the low upsides

To be honest, Guillorme should be about five spots ahead of Nido.

And it's funny to quip about ceilings and then point to Nabil Crismatt as the alternative. I know HK said that Crismatt has a mid-rotation ceiling in another thread, to which I'll respond: what

And about the "course-correcting" re: Guillorme: it wasn't just NYFS that had Guillorme Top 10, so it's not fair to pretend like we were overrating him compared to the industry. He was Top 10 just about everywhere. Fangraphs, BA, etc. There wasn't a huge range of opinions on Guillorme (variable range was greater for Nido; FG was high on Nido, others weren't). Just about everyone said the same things about Guillorme. Great glove, good contact bat, negative power.

Both Crismatt and Guillorme have low upsides but I think Guillorme has more upside and more floor of the two. Crismatt's upside is that he makes a 40 man and gives a major league a few decent starts in an injury-riddled season. Probably won't be with us.

Even Jeff P (on more than one occasion) mentioned Guillorme as a guy who maybe had a chance to out perform his tools and surprise. Now I doubt he still feels that way but ++ glove with solid bat to ball skills means you have a "shot".
