Rookie maximums for at-bats (130), games pitched (30) or innings (50) in the major leagues"

If the 2 leaders are within 5% of each other, or the leader has less than 30% there will be a run-off between the top 2. If a run-off results in a tie the tiebreaker will be vote total in the previous poll, we will continue to "go back" in the polls until there is a clear leader.

I know some are down on the farm after BVW dealt Kelenic and Dunn, but I think there's plenty to like.

The top 11 looks solid enough to me and guys like Alvarez, Hernandez, Consuegra and Santos could shoot up some lists in a hurry once they get stateside/out of the Rookie leagues.

Also, I think Tony Dibrell has been overlooked a little bit by the industry experts. Not saying he is some Top 100 prospect, but he may have three above-average offerings in his fastball, slider and change, has plus velocity, and really showed some progress with his walk rate in the second half of 2018, capping his season with a 9 strikeout, one-hit performance in six shutout innings.

I certainly have him above Cecchini and Lindsay at this point and I think there's an argument to be made that he's every bit the prospect a guy like Will Toffey is. That's probably splitting hairs though, given they all feel within the 11 to 15 range.

I definitely miss Kelenic, and Dunn is more intriguing to me than most, but...
1. Once Gimenez and Alonso graduate, there isn't a whole lot of immediate help...maybe some pen arms, but Peterson and Kay are the next available and they won't arrive until 2020 at the earliest.

2. Still outfielder hungry...and catcher.

3. Our interesting prospects are really far away. And our star potential is basically Vientos and Newton.

And Mauricio and possibly Alvarez/Hernandez, and maybe Szapucki if he returns close to 100%, but time will tell.

It's not a good system but if they win 95 games in 2019 it won't matter much. #12 pick isn't too bad. They'll hopefully draft in the mid 20s next year so, it is what it is. I just hope for a fun 2-3 years.

Would have had 6 with Kelenic and Dunn at 84 and 89 respectively.

12:10 More likely to crack the top 25 next season: Ronny Mauricio or Oneil Cruz?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:10 I'll say Cruz.

12:25 Does the likely addition of 15 new DH jobs meaningfully affect the way in which bat-only plodders will be evaluated?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:25 Yes and we actually got feedback that was like, "move down Alonso, Calhoun, Alvarez, etc UNLESS the universal DH is implemented."

1:14 Simply scouting the statline, Mark Vientos of the Mets seemed to show everything you'd want to see from an 18-year-old in the Appy. Power and ability to control the strike zone were both there. Hoping he starts the season in Columbia, what does he need to do to make the leap into the top 50 in 2020? More of the same or is there something else you're looking to see if he improves on?
Kiley McDaniel
1:14 Improving on D and performing in a full season league is about all we need. Huge upside if the D comes around
One Mets source mentioned Nolan Arenado wasn't super different at this stage and that isn't totally wrong

That seems fair given the respective level each will be at in 2019, and not necessarily a statement "against" Mauricio.

Kiley also implied the people they spoke to think Alonso is a DH saying his ranking would be higher if the NL had a DH.

Regardless, Alonso will be here for his bat, not his glove... much the same for most 1Bmen.
