The New York #Mets and Philadelphia #Phillies are showing strong interest in Texas #Rangers ace Mike Minor, who is off to a dazzling start. He pitched a 3-hit CG shutout Tuesday vs. #Angels, and has a 1.27 ERA in his last three starts. He's owed $9.5 million this year and in 2020

Kay+?
Vientos+?
Mauricio+?
Gimenez?

Too much right now. I imagine Mauricio and Gimenez are not on the table. Vientos and Kay would probably be on the table.

What about Vientos and Villines for Minor?

I'm not giving up a top 5 prospect for him. That's too steep for me. Kay is the best prospect I would offer.

Probably not enough, but that seems about right to start.

Texas is 9-7. Are they rebuilding despite a winning record, cause, I don't see this happening until the season shapes up for a couple months.

And if Minor keeps pitching well, I don't think this happens without a top 5 prospect.

I'd have no idea why they would trade him to us without getting a top-five guy in return, especially if Philly is bidding against us. I'd be really disappointed if we traded Mauricio or Vientos. Vientos is probably the guy I like more than most.

If we are going to be aggressive and give up more top prospects to fill the hole in our rotation, perhaps we should trade Gimenez? After all, we have SS and 2B filled for the foreseeable future.

I'd like to get a sense of how Brodie plans to replenish the system before I encourage him to continue to skim the cream from the top.

We have no idea what the Phils are willing to give up.

Me neither. Just bracing for the worst after the Cano debacle.

Just sign Gio when he opts out. Keep the prospects.
