Lowrie who?

Can the Mets just pretend they didn't sign him?

How does one have a hamstring strain for three months? This is ridiculous.

I think it is likely we don't have Dom and Davis up, and McNeil playing as much if not for the injury to he and Frasier...mixed blessings!

So true. A blessing in disguise but that money could have been used on a pitcher

question

with Seattle biting the bullet and sending off bruce + cash to phillies .. does that mean that Bruce is completely off their payroll for 2020 and won't be used against their salary cap? Or will 10 million still be allocated against their cap?

Here is your answer:
Quote:
As part of the deal, Seattle agreed to pay the Phillies $18,567,204 next Jan. 15, offsetting most of the $21,317,204 remaining in the $39 million, three-year contract Bruce agreed to with the New York Mets in January 2018.

Bruce is owed $8,317,204 this year from his $13 million salary and has a $13 million salary in 2020. The Mets remain responsible for the second $1.5 million installment of his $3 million signing bonus, a payment due next Jan. 31.

Brandon Nimmo out of the Syracuse lineup for second straight day.

Presumably Mickey will chalk it up to a rainout.

Brandon Nimmo is in Los Angeles to see specialist Dr. Robert Watkins for second opinion on his neck. #mets

Per Sherman. Woof.

Wow, I feel bad for what Nimmo is going through. He had such a great season last year, so it has to be frustrating be limited like this.

Not having he and Wilson are big reasons this team has struggled this year. Not that they are saviors, but would probably mean a couple game swing here and there. Our outlook would be a lot different one game over .500 than four games under.

Completely agree. A healthy Nimmo means swapping Lagares and Gomez for a player that had a 4-5 WAR season last year and that would be setting the table for the big bats to consistently have runs to drive in.
