I’m starting this thread In honor of Chico and his good vibes and calling on the all-in thread started by I think SFC so many years ago but it’s been a tough year so far with a lot of sniping back and forth about the Cano trade, fire Mickey, trade/move Rosario, BVW sucks, etc. However small a chance the Mets have a chance they are rolling and however long this lasts I want to enjoy this run so I’m starting this thread with the intent of only positive posts and hoping If there is an after life Chico is all-in and enjoying this run... Let’s go Mets!!!!!

I’m all in for this stretch run!!

Chico is missed. I actually remember starting the Chico good vibes club years ago. Tempus Fugit.

I agree. I'm just going to enjoy the ride. Despite the record and the prospects lost, it has been fun to watch some guys develop, including those we might disagree on.

As we said back in the day --- ALL IN!

This has been a different team since the All Star break -- and I like to think that Alonso winning the HR Derby was where the turnaround started. After so many things went wrong, finally we had something go right. A nice positive moment for the ball club after a forgettable first half.

I'm riding this streak out, too. Bottom line, if they get back into it, guys like Alonso, McNeil, Rosario and JDD get the experience of playing late season, meaningful games against teams that are either in playoff position or trying to get there.

LGM!

Generally missed if your not watching the games but the defense by both Rosario and Alonso have been fun to watch lately...

The way most of the NL games broke today all favored the Mets. D-Backs were playing the Nats, so we couldn't make up ground on both -- but it was definitely better for the Nats to lose to make the pack of teams going for the two WC spots tighter.

Mets not just 3 GB out the 2nd WC, 3.5 out of the 1st WC with four games against the Marlins at home up next. Need at least 3 out of 4 from the Marlins heading into the tougher games against the Nats and Bravos.

I been all-in since the ASB. Figured the HR derby win by Alonso was some good juju for the 2nd half. Plus I felt the run was eventually going to come, and it's here! LGM

Just 3 games back in the wild card, about to catch Philadelphia and Washington as they throw any retread they can at the wall in hopes to save their seasons.

I think the Mets have a good chance to fight for this!

The Mets have 51 games remaining.

33 are at home. They are .583 at home this year.

18 are away. They are .429 on the road.

9 of the 18 road games are against below 500 teams.

It is highly unlikely that they would end up facing Madison Bumgarner in a wildcard game.

Just keeping those places gives them a 27-24 record to finish the season, putting them at a 82-80 record.

That's close to the second wild card (as crazy as that seems), so outplaying their season-pace by only a few games could get them in.

Fangraphs' projection system now has the Mets finishing with more wins than the Phillies.

Keep an eye on the loss column. The Mets have pulled even in that all-important number with every team chasing the current second wild card leaders.

They really do have a chance.
