This is for Opening Day. Lineup counts (hint: They play the gNats, so it will probably be a righty on the mound). 8 bullpen arms even with the off days? Are Ces or Lowrie gonna be healthy? Any deals in the works? Have fun!

Nimmo CF
McNeil 3B
Alonso 1B
Conforto RF
Cano 2B
Davis LF
Ramos C
Rosario SS

Rivera C
Nunez IF
Marisnick OF
Guillorme IF
Smith 1B/OF

deGrom
Noah
Stroman
Matz
Porcello

Diaz
Betances
Lugo
Wilson
Familia
Wacha
Brach
Gsellman

I'm gonna say Lowrie and Ces open on the IL. Otherwise they may have gone with 7 bullpen arms and added a seat on the bench for one (or both) of them.

If no injuries occur this is probably the easiest roster prediction in recent history...

I think there is a definite question about Ces and Lowrie.

Nunez or Adams? Does Adams push Smith out?

8-man pen even during the first week or so?

Not difficult to predict most of the spots, though. And lineup order and position count! Get in on the fun!

So easy but barring an injury or trade you missed it in at least 2 places - 1st Ces is likely not ready by OD and Marisnick will certainly be on the roster. And 2ndly, Nido is going to be the backup C since he’s out of options (and Rene is just on a minor league deal).

We also don’t know if Lowrie is healthy and in baseball condition. That’s still a mystery at this point.

Lowrie had all winter to get back to playing form. If he is not ready, he likely will never be ready....

Marisnick? Nido? Matt Adams?

Its easy 1-22 or so. The last few spots still have some intrigue IMO.

Dom (Adams), Lowrie (Nunez), Nido (Rivera/Sanchez), Gsellman (Sewald/Shreve) all look like "battles" to some extent. Some of that is health/options dependent.

I predict the Mets will play most of the year with 22 players and 4 guys who are day-to-day.

D'oh completely forgot Marisnick--blame it on the long layoff :)

The cynic in me says both Ces and Lowrie will be ready and raring to go--contract year and all that. I think Rivera makes it over Nido.

My concern is that they will dump either Dom or LG at the roster deadline for some minor leaguers and he will go on to shine for his new team.

With MLB going back to a 15 day IL for pitchers(and 15 day minimum for pitchers being optioned), this is a very real possibility.

I’d start talking the Bionic Man, Jed Lowrie off those roster predictions. It appears his leg has been replaced by some sort of robotic prototype.

The video of him working out with a massive brace on is crazy...da hell happened to him? What was his initial injury besides “leg injury”??
