Would not be surprised to see Daniel Gossett in uniform soon.

I like Pete in the 2 spot. He thrived there last year. I believe it puts tremendous pressure on the pitcher in the first inning and he will still get RBI opportunities later.

McNeill
Alonso
Davis
Conforto
Yo
Nimmo
Ramos
Cano
Rosario

That’s how I’d roll.

I don't want to keep burying Callaway while he's long gone, but Rojas is clearly more willing to respond to the day's match-up with creative lineups, and I'm loving it.

The 2020 Mets clearly do not have a regular lineup.

Why doesn't he put pressure on the pitcher in the first inning batting third? With a better chance to bat with a runner on base.

He does put pressure on a pitcher batting third, but will bat more with 2 outs and no one on.

Ideally you want your best hitters stacked together, so any lineup with that in mind is ok by me.

If he's up 2 out and none on or 1 out and none on, so what?

But he can bat none out and 1st and 2nd batting third. He can never do that in the first inning the other way.

Batting third he is more likely to bat with more runners on.

He has to slow down to keep the bag while Bogaerts is under no obligation.

And McNeil’s adventures on the base paths continue.

Another bonehead play by McNeil. Mets baserunning appears to be setting new low standards.

I think it was more that the path taken by Bogarts was more direct.

Have a feeling that Wacha is going to exceed the low expectations that most seem to have for him.
