The Mets got back on track with a 3-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles behind 7+ innings of one run ball from Bartolo Colon. Daniel Murphy, and Kevin Plawecki provided the offense with RBI s in a three run fourth, breaking a streak of consecutive shutouts. Jeurys Familia notched his 11th save. BOX | RECAP

New York entered Tuesday in an 18-inning offensive drought following two consecutive shutouts. The Mets managed seven hits off Orioles starter Bud Norris, with Kevin Plawecki’s two-run double serving as the major blow. Daniel Murphy and Wilmer Flores also drove in and scored runs for New York.

“We haven’t scored lately, and we all know it,” said Collins. “Tonight we came up with a big inning, and it made a big difference.”
