David Wright returned to the Mets lineup for the first time since April and went 2-5 with a home run, as the Mets set a team record with 8 home runs in a 16-7 romp over the Phillies. The Mets pounded out 20 hits, including 15 extra base hits to pick up Jacob deGrom who had his toughest start of the season. Wilmer Flores had 2 of the Mets 8 home runs. 7 of the Mets starting 9 had multi-hit games. BOX | RECAP

“It’s incredible to be a part of,” Wright said. “We just know that we’re going to win the game. That’s the type of confidence that you can’t tell somebody to have, that you can’t force upon somebody. You just have to get good at winning. And this team is getting good at winning.”
