Jacob deGrom stopped the bleeding pitching the Mets to a 2-0 win, throwing 8 innings of shutout 7 strikeout ball to break the Mets 7 game losing streak. deGrom struck out 7 and allowed just 4 hits. Wilmer Flores doubled in a run, Lucas Duda had an RBI and Curtis Granderson had three hits to provide the Mets meager offense, which proved to be enough for a change. BOX | RECAP

“If you’re going to start a streak, you’ve got to win one,” Mets manager Terry Collins said. “We’ve had a horrible trip. We haven’t scored. Three one-run losses. So let’s just go home where we’ve played well, and hopefully we can continue this.”
