The roundup for May 15th minor league games: Three-run eighth inning helps Herd snap skid; Familia fires seven, shutout innings for the Binghamton Mets; St. Lucie swept the Manatees in their doubleheader; Gnats slip into first place tie after win.

Buffalo Bisons
Herd newcomer Bubba Bell capped a two-out rally in the eighth inning to give the Bisons a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over the Bats on Sunday afternoon from Louisville Slugger Field.

Bell’s game-winning double drove home two of the Herd’s three runs in the frame as the team erased a 3-1 deficit for a much needed victory.

Binghamton Mets
Jeurys Familia fired seven scoreless innings, but was robbed of a win when Austin Krum hit a walk-off, two-run triple to beat Binghamton 3-2 at Waterfront Park Sunday afternoon. The late-inning heroics gave Trenton the series win 3-1.

St. Lucie Mets
The Brevard County Manatees were swept in a doubleheader against the St. Lucie Mets on Sunday evening as the ‘Tees were shutout 11-0 in the first game and lost the second game 4-1.

Savannah Sand Gnats
The Savannah Sand Gnats beat the Rome Braves 8-3 Sunday afternoon, evening the team’s record at 18-18 and slipping into a tie for first place with the Asheville Tourists. Asheville was rained out in Lexington, and the two teams are now scheduled for a double-header Monday. The Gnats have won three straight games, six of their last seven and eight of their last 10 games.
