Lucas Duda tied it, and Wilmer Flores won it with 11th inning hits that gave the Mets an improbable comeback 4-3 win, after they’d blown a 2-1 ninth inning lead, and given the Jays the lead in the top of the 11th. Noah Syndergaard started and struck out a career high 11, but lost a chance for the win when Jose Bautista tied the game off Jeurys Familia in the ninth with a home run. BOX | RECAP

“They are huge wins, especially when you fall behind like we did and have to come back,” Mets manager Terry Collins said. “It builds confidence in the clubhouse that it can be done. We have young players that are going through it for the first time. There is no way to teach it. So it’s real important to win some of these games.”
