The roundup for April 21st minor league games: St. Lucie Mets defeated the Charlotte Stone Crabs for a third consecutive time; Josh Stinson and the Buffalo Bisons defeated the Lehigh Valley IronPigs; the Binghamton Mets were shut out by the New Hampshire Fisher Cats; and the Savannah Sand Gnats were defeated by the Lexington Legends.

St. Lucie Mets
The St. Lucie Mets scored three runs in the first and sixth inning on their way to a 7-2 win over the Charlotte Stone Crabs Friday night at Charlotte Sports Park.

The Stone Crabs have now dropped the first six encounters with the Mets this season as St. Lucie completed its second three-game series sweep.

For the third consecutive game, St. Lucie scored the first runs of the night. Cesar Puello doubled off Charlotte starter Jake Thompson to open the game. Jefry Marte plated Puello with a run-scoring single, and Stefan Welch followed with a two-run homer to give the Mets a 3-0 lead.

Buffalo Bisons
Prior to the start of the 2011 season, the Bisons rotation was tabbed as the strength of this year’s club. In their second homestand at Coca-Cola Field, the Herd pitchers are delivering on those expectations.

Josh Stinson allowed just two hits in five innings of work as the Bisons topped the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 4-2, on Friday night from downtown Buffalo. Jose De La Torre and Manny Acosta closed out the Herd’s third straight victory.

Binghamton Mets
Josh Satin muscled three hits for the second straight night, but New Hampshire’s Chad Beck mystified Binghamton over seven, scoreless inning to drop the B-Mets 2-0 at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium Friday night. Beck allowed just four hits and struck out six for his second straight win.

Savannah Sand Gnats
Lexington Legends catcher Chris Wallace was 4-5 with two triples and a home run to lead the Lexington Legends to a 6-3 victory over the Sand Gnats Friday night at Historic Grayson Stadium.  For the third night in a row, the victorious team used a four-run inning to take control of the game.  Wednesday and Thursday, the Gnats (7-8) came from behind for the win, but Friday, the Legends (8-8) returned the favor with a four-run seventh.
