Matt Harvey threw 8 shutout innings and the Mets were two outs away from another happy Harvey Day when a Jeurys Familia blown save led to a 14 inning nail biter and a 2-1 Mets win over the St. Louis Cardinals. John Mayberry came up with a deep grounder to short with runners on the corners that let Eric Campbell race home with the winning run. BOX | RECAP

“They’re one of the best teams in the league without a question,” Mets manager Terry Collins said. “So when you go 14 innings, you’d like to leave with a smile on your face.”
