While the big league club’s struggles continue, things look a brighter on the minor league side, with Matt den Dekker and Josh Satin giving Noah Syndergaard more than enough support for his 5th win, and Kevin Plawecki continuing his march up the ladder with another 3 hits for Binghamton and top draft pics Brandon Nimmo, Gavin Cecchini, and Dominic Smith all having good nights.

Las Vegas 10 El Paso 2

den Dekker and Satin combined for 7 hits, 6 runs, 3 RBI, 2 2Bs a HR, Andrew Brown and Zach Lutz each had 2 hits, and Noah Syndergaard pitched 5 innings allowing 2 runs and striking out 5 for his 5th win this season. BOX

Binghamton 8 New Hampshire 6

Kevin Plawecki was 3-3 with 3 RBI rasing his average to .316 and Kyle Johnson had 3 hits behind Matthew Bowman who struck out 12 in 6 innings of work. Bowman lost it for an inning when an error in the third led to a triple and then a wild pitch, a couple of walks, and a grand slam before Bowman could settle down, with 6 unearned runs marring an otherwsie strong outing. St. Lucie 6 Lakeland 4

St. Lucie pounded out 12 hits including 2 homers (Cam Maron and Jairo Perez) and another Brandon Nimmo 3B and Luis Cessa pitched his third straight gem going 6, allowing 1 run and striking out 3. BOX

Savannah 11 Greenville 3 Savannah 1 Greenville 4

In game 1, Dominci Smith was 2-3 with a BB and 3 RBI, and Gavin Cecchini doubled, walked twice and scored three times while Miller Diaz tossed 1 zeros for five innings fanning 8. In game 2, Cecchini tripled and LJ Mazzilli had 2 hits, but Jon Gant was uncharestically hittable allowing 4 runs and 7 hits in five innings in the only loss on the minor league slate.  BOX1  BOX2
