The roundup for June 20th minor league games: The Bisons scored a season high 16 runs; Binghamton dropped the series finale to Thunder; St. Lucie Mets have an off day; the Drive Swept the Gnats with 12-1 blowout; and the Brooklyn Cyclones take the rubber game from the Yankees.

Buffalo Bisons
The Bisons scored a season high 16-runs as they cruised to a, 16-2, win and a series split with Norfolk at Harbor Park Sunday.

Both Nick Evans and Luis Hernandez notched five RBI in Sunday’s game accounting for two-thirds of the Herd’s runs on Sunday. The Bisons sent nine-men to the plate twice in the game, once in the fourth and for a second time in the eighth.

Binghamton Mets
The Binghamton Mets committed four errors and dropped the finale of the Subway Series North to the Trenton Thunder by a 10-8 score today at NYSEG Stadium.

St. Lucie Mets – OFF DAY

Savannah Sand Gnats
The Greenville Drive finished a four-game sweep of the Savannah Sand Gnats with a 12-1 blowout win on Sunday afternoon. The Gnats (39-30) clinched the first-half Southern Division Championship last Tuesday. The Drive (38-32) finished the half on a seven-game winning streak.

The First-Half Champion Gnats will take three days off for the SAL All-Star Break and return to action by hosting the Augusta GreenJackets on Thursday.

Brooklyn Cyclones
The Brooklyn Cyclones (2-1) defeated Phil Hughes and the Staten Island Yankees (1-2) in front of a Father’s Day crowd of 7,966. Jeff Walters opposed Hughes, tossing 4.1 innings of two-run ball and striking out four. Hunter Carnevale (1-0) earned the win in relief for the Cyclones, striking out four in 2.0 innings of work and T.J. Chism earned his first save of 2011. Second baseman Ismael Tijerina paced Brooklyn by going 2-4 with a double and a run scored. Catcher Nelfi Zapata hit his first home run of 2011, going yard off of Hughes.

Kingsport Mets
The K-Mets open their 31st season in Kingsport on Wednesday June 22nd as they host their West Division rival Johnson City Cardinals. Game time is at 7:00PM and gates open at 6. The game will open a 5 game homestand as the team will be playing home games at Hunter Wright Stadium through Sunday June 26.
