The Mets signed Tatis to a minor league contract on March 23, 2007 after he was released by the LA Dodgers. Tatis is best known for hitting two grand slams in the same inning of a game as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. He played with Texas, St. Louis, and Montreal from 1997-2003. He did not play for two seasons before returning with the Baltimore Orioles in 2006.
