The Mets acquired Emaus from the Blue Jays in the 2010 Rule V Draft. He was selected by Toronto in the 11th round of the 2007 amateur draft out of Tulane University. Emaus was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and attended East Coweta High School in Sharpsburg, Georgia.
